Don't focus on closing more people.
It sounds a bit counterintuitive, but hear me out.
If you're trying to close people, they can sense that. So when you tell somebody that you have a business opportunity or product, it becomes more about you than the prospect. You always want to make it about the prospect.
To close people, don't try to close people. Instead, aim to see who is open to looking at what you have to offer.
eg. To a business prospect, I would say, “Remember you said you wanted to generate some extra income? Would you be open to looking at a side project that could help you do that if it didn't interfere with what you're currently doing?”
Don't you think that is a lot better for recruiting in network marketing than “Hey I have this great business that can help you make money that I want to show you.”
The key thing here is the language, because somebody might not want to look at a business, somebody might not be interested in checking something out, but everyone wants to be open.
You will get way better conversions when you make it about your prospect, and approach them in this way to see if they're open.
You can use this to promote your MLM products too. For example “I notice you're trying to lose some weight, would you be open to taking a look at some products that can help you reach your goal faster?”
Can you see how this is more powerful than you just suggesting something? Make it their idea.
Network Marketing Recruiting Techniques
So it's a 3 step process:
- Build rapport
- Qualify the prospect
- Find out if they're open
When you take this approach to recruiting in network marketing, you'll be able to have way more people every day looking at your opportunity. Do you have 5-10 people per day right now checking out your business opportunity? If you don't, you will when you start approaching people this way. Having 1 person looking at your presentation per week, will not get you any results.
Your job is not to persuade or convince people, your job is simply to qualify, invite, and then help those that saw value to get started. Ask any top earner, this is how to effectively recruit in network marketing.
